Atosiban(Tractocile, Antocin) is an inhibitor of the hormones oxytocin and vasopressin. It is a chemically-synthesised nonapeptide. Atosiban had nanomolar affinity for rat and human oxytocin receptors but was much less selective vs. vasopressin receptors. Atosiban was found to be  70-fold more potent at human recombinant V1a receptors than at human OT receptors and was only 10-fold and 30-fold selective for human OT vs. human V1b and V2 receptors.
